The Management has established this College after seeking No Objection Certificate from the Govt. Vide Higher Education Department Office letter No. Edu/Coll/NOC/Pvt-Instt/40/99 Dated 29/06/2005 with Permission of Higher Education office letter No:HE/Recog/Pvt.Instt/18/B.ed/2006 dated 24-7-2006 to B.Ed Course,duly renewed time in time. The College is also recognised and permitted for imparting Education & Training to M.Ed course vide Higher Education Officer Letter No. HE/Recog-3/SET/M.Ed-09 dated 6-10-2009 renewed time in time.

2(F) & 12(b) of UGC Act 1956
The College is recognized by the University Grants Commission New Delhi under section 2 (f) & 12(b) of the UGC Act 1956 vide No: 8-140/2008 (CPP-I) dated: November 2009 & No. 8-667/2019(CPP-I/C) dated 17-12-2019 respectively.
1.(e) NAAC Accreditation
The College is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council Bangalore with a CGPA of 2.34 on a 7 point Scale at “B Grade” .in the 1st Cycle of Accreditation, the 2nd Cycle is in progress.

The College is also Registered under Jammu and Kashmir Shops & Establishment Act 1966 Vide Registration No 25581464.

Nice looking three storied Academic Block Ist and 2nd attached with a single storied Administrative Block besides a separate Hostel Block for Girls. With lush green compounds of 24,878Sft excluding adjacent local sports field for cricket and football upon an area of 9948 SM The entire rooms and lecture theatres are sufficiently furnished with latest furniture and fixture besides fittings for audio visuals and Heating Appliances etc.

3) Admission Policy
3.(a) Admission to B.Ed Course
Admissions of the Candidates to B.Ed Course is made only after the selection by the Affiliating University of Kashmir where Candidates having passed three years Bachelors Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with 50% marks for General and 45% marks for Reserve category are eligible to apply.
4) Students Support System
4.(a) Library
College Management has given expansion to its Library by +5000 subject related text and reference Books, besides Encyclopedia ,Journals, Magazines, weekly and daily News Papers in well furnished
4.(b) Science Lab
Science lab is well equipped with required equipments for Tests & experiments.
4.(c) Computer lab
The Computer lab is up graded in a separate room with 20 computers and accessories for use of the students and staff.
4 (d) Psychology Lab
The Psychology laboratory of College unit is well equipped with latest tests and equipments required in B.Ed & M.Ed Course.
4. (e) Geography Lab
The College is provided a separate Geography Lab with sufficient equipments and charts to overcome the practical work in the subject.
4.(f) Smart Classroom
Keeping in pace with the dynamism of time and off course the priorities, we Sanctorians have tried best to maintain the pace and direction. We have made it sure that our well trained and qualified staff gets everything essential to make the process of teaching and learning more conducive, interactive and innovative.
For this purpose the College has established a well equipped lab having LCD, TV and Internet Facility for the up gradation of knowledge and information technology. There are other gadgets required to make the teaching and learning process interactive and fun based.

A Lab School of Higher Secondary Level is attached to College of Education for enough Teaching Practices.
5) Scholarships
5.(a) Scholarships
As per the Govt. order No 228HE of 2003 dated 19/06/2003 duly endorsed by the Deputy Registrar Academic vide No F(Scholarship – B.Ed) Acad/KU/06 dated September 08 2006 monthly scholarship of Rs300/= is provided to the 10% Students on merit & Caste basis.
5.(b) Free ships & Concessions
The specific percentage of the candidates belonging to SC/ ST are provided the concession up to 30% where as the candidates of backward classes are given the Same up to 20% and the orphans below poverty line are treated to the best desire and directions of the Dean College Development Council University of Kashmir.

6.(a) Hostel Facility
The Students are provided homely accommodation separately for Boys & Girls with special mess services. Girls hostel is within the college campus where as the Hostel for Boys is rented at Chankhan Sopore.
