Report on Donation of Benches

On 5th June,2023 our College celebrated  World Environmental Day. All the students and faculty members participated in this programme. Our Principal were also present at the programme. The objective of the programme was to spread awareness about saving our environment from various types of hazardous pollution and to plant more and more tress to make our mother earth full of greenery.

Our Principal Prof (Dr) Mohd Yusuf Ganai gave a very good and well-researched speech about how the condition of our environment is and why we need to be aware. it has been a platform for raising awareness on environmental issues as marine pollution, overpopulation, global warming, sustainable development and wildlife crime. World Environment Day is a global platform for public outreach, Air pollution contributes to the premature deaths of 2 million Indians every year. Around 80% of water is severely polluted. Speaking further Mr Bilal a B.Ed student gave us the idea of  AI systems and how it  raise sustainability concerns linked to the natural resources they consume such as electricity and water, and the carbon emissions they produce. The rise of deep learning and large language models has also dramatically increased the amount of compute capacity AI systems need  said what steps we should take immediately so that we can make our environment healthy. In the end he took a promise from all the students that no one will pollute the environment and will not allow anyone to do so. After the programme some students were engaged in the cleaning of college campus. World environment day is the perfect opportunity to make people aware of various issues of environment.
